Camping Policies and Guidelines

In order to provide the best camping experience for everyone, we have established the following Guidelines and Policies. Your adherence to them will ensure that all campers will have an enjoyable time while attending and camping at the Hovander Homestead Bluegrass Festival. It is also much appreciated!

  • Campsites:  All camping is dry camping only.  There are no electrical outlets in the campground and no water fill-up stations for RVs and Motorhomes.
  • Fires: No wood or open ground fires are allowed.  Small commercial propane fire pits, BBQs and camp stoves are permitted for outdoor cooking, heat and/or ambience provided all safety measures are followed.
  • Health and Safety:  If you have a legitimate concern for anyone’s health or safety, please seek immediate assistance from Security or Medical personnel.  If it is a life and death situation, please call 911 immediately, then seek festival staff to assist you.
  • Disposal:  All garbage must be kept off the ground and disposed in receptacles provided by the festival.  All garbage must be disposed of in closed plastic bags.
  • Proof of Admission:  All tents, RVs and trailers are required to display at all times the appropriate campground pass as instructed at check-in.  Failure to do so will result in the campers being asked to purchase a camping pass or asked to leave the campground.
  • Pets:  Pets are welcome in the campground area only.  They are not allowed in the festival grounds.
    • All pets must either be: a.) on a leash, b.) in a container or c.) inside an RV or trailer.  Off-leash pets are not allowed.
    • You must “pick up” waste after your pet(s) and dispose of the waste properly.  Also, please ensure that your pets do not urinate on other people’s personal property.
    • You must keep your pet(s) quiet.  Any continuing violation will result in your being asked to remove you and  your pet(s) from the park without a refund.
  • Generators:  Please limit the use of generators in the campground to between the hours of 10am and 8pm. Also, please ensure that the exhaust from your generator does not affect your neighbors. Campers operating generators overnight with be asked to turn them off.  Campers who refuse to observe generator guidelines will be asked to leave the campground with no refund.
